Behind the lens...

Hi everyone my name is Mandi and I am totally a "Mom-tog" and I am ok with that title, and heres why. I have always been intrigued by photography and loved taking pictures with a point and shoot camera and editing pictures when I was in high school and college, but I never knew anything about DSLR, manual mode and the "rules" of photography until after my daughter Emrie was born. I had this beautiful baby girl to use as my model so I got a "good" camera so I could achieve amazing images of her and man I was sadly mistaken... It took lots of hard work, time, PASSION and trial and error to finally get results I was happy with. Just like any art form I am still learning and trying new things all the time! Since my first camera and baby girl my Husband and I have also added a handsome little guy named Grayden to our family, expecting another sweet baby girl in May and we live our beautiful life in Shelby, Ohio. I wear the title Mom-tog proudly because my babies are my reason why. They're the reason I have such a passion for photography, working hard and giving my clients beautiful art that can be shared and passed down through the years and a stress free fun experience for the whole family. I promise Dads it doesn't have to be miserable!

Besides getting to see the families and couples that I work with interact and be themselves, I absolutely love editing. There are a lot of photographers that feel editing is their least favorite thing but for me its the grand finale! Seeing the vision I had for a shot come together and reach its fullest potential gives me life! Gahh... I love it!
